2017 GZL Mock Draft (1-10)
By Keith Van Wagner
Special to gzl-football.com

It's mock draft season! So here is my mock Top 10. Of course half of these are likely to change hands by draft day. Still, it's fun and hope you enjoy. And remember, this is for entertainment purposes only, so no wagering.

1.1 Patriots. DE Jadeveon Clowney.
The former Gamecock becomes the first DE selected first overall in league history. Hard to beat combination of speed and agility.

1.2 49ers. CB Richard Sherman.
Sherman is one of the best CB prospects ever to come down the pike. No GZL CB player has 6'3" size and 93 SPD.

1.3 Jets. WR Sammy Watkins.
There are 2 (or maybe 3) legit WRs who could be the first off the board. Watkins is the only one with across the board attribute excellence.

1.4 Bears. CB Justin Gilbert.
The Bears need a CB and Gilbert is the best one not named Richard Sherman. Gilbert projects to be an elite player for years to come.

1.5 Saints. QB Bo Callahan.
The Saints say they are not interested in Callahan, so maybe they go in another direction. But Callahan is the only first round caliber QB, so they better get him while the getting is good.

1.6 Raiders. CB Demarius Stonewall.
Oakland just traded away Camden Pietralia, but get this diamond in the rough in return. One of only 4 CBs with 6'4" size and 90 SPD.

1.7 Saints. OT Greg Robinson.
New Orleans has a lot of holes to fill but the O-Line seems especially in need of attention. Token Price is the better blocker but Robinson is the better talent.

1.8 Chargers. LB Khalil Mack.
The Chargers also could use a CB, but the best of the bunch are gone. Mack is a beast and could play OLB, MLB or DE.

1.9 Bears. OL Token Price.
Chicago doesn't have a lot of needs, but Price could fit in nice, especially if he started out at Guard. He is the most polished blocker in the draft class.

1.10 Vikings. WR Josh Gordon.
Gordon has no business going this late and Vikings get arguably the best WR on the board. Gordon has great leaping abilities and excels at breaking tackles.
