QB Guru a look QB Class of 2018
By Tom Riddell
Special to gzl-football.com

Well it's draft season here in the GZL
I thought I'd go over the quarterback position
I'll let you know my thoughts on each and every quarterback in this draft

QB Travis Sullivan
Height: 5'11" Weight: 198lbs
Age: 21 College: Pittsburgh
Sullivan has the awareness and accuracy to be a decent quarterback
you need to hit the weight room once joining a team adding 10 pounds of muscle
drawbacks being 5'11 not a very big Arm
could see him going anywhere between the fourth and 6th Round.
A Good SKU could help this kid.

QB Nick Foles
Height: 6'6" Weight: 245lbs
Age: 21 College: Arizona

 photo 120427_event_draft_eagles_pick_88_640_360_33_zps168d76a1.jpg

Foles has all the tools great height and has a good solid frame
Has the awareness for our rookie quarterback
the knock on Nick is his durability can he stay healthy

Should be a top 10 pick
QB Jameis Winston

Height: 6'4" Weight: 230lbs
Age: 21 College: Florida State
 photo USATSI_7542218_zpsdca7caef.jpg

Jameis winstron cannon for an arm brain full of mush
again 64 230 great size He's scrambler and I hate scribblers
the only thing I want scrambled are m y Morning eggs
he will be very durable but in my opinion he should sit behind a starter for at least two seasons
my knock on him is his awareness

He'll still be a top 32 pick

QB Victor Morales

Height: 6'1" Weight: 225lbs
Age: 23 College: New Mexico

Again this is another late round quarterback
who will be decent depth I don't expect them ever to be a starter
due to his lack of arm strength and size
most like quarterbacks to be at least 6'2to 6'5

QB Derek Carr
Height: 6'3" Weight: 218lbs
Age: 22 College: Fresno State

Carr is a nice prospect good size at 63
can move in the pocket and decent arm strength at 90 throwing power
THA 82 is good for a rookie.

Will require some work overtime could be a decent starter
my knock on car again is the 67 injury
Glass Joe had a better rating in Mike Tyson's Punch out

Third or fourth round is my guess for Carr Goes
QB Dave Mandel

Height: 6'3" Weight: 227lbs
Age: 21 College: S.D. State
the only Mandel I know is Howie
 photo Howie_Mandel_with_glove_over_head1_zps0ccc92bc.jpg

this Mandel has good size at 6'3 227 pounds
fair arm strength at Just under 90 and THA 82
again scrambler's I hate him
sit in the pocket and throw the damn ball
injury rate is around 77 that scary
especially when you're scrambler and you're going to get hit
again I think fourth or late Round for this quarterback
QB Aaron Thomas
Height: 6'2" Weight: 230lbs
Age: 21 College: Texas

Thomas is from one favorite schools one of schools Texas
cannon for an arm at 94 very athletic
with a decent injury rating
but then again the scrambler thing again
have I mentioned how I hate scramblers

Again another decent mid-round quarterback
QB Blake Bortles

Height: 6'5" Weight: 232lbs
Age: 22 College: Florida A&M

In real life I know the OC of University of Central Florida
Charlie Taffee I knew Charlie when he was the head coach in Hamilton of the CFL
Charlie is also coached as a head coach at several state universities
including Maryland and The Citadel

6'5 232 pounds that's a big quarterback
great injury rating 90 overall but his toughness at 84
means he won't shake off an injury to quickly
balance quarterback means he well move in the pocket quite decently
decent throwing power and accuracy for a rookie

This is the top 15 prospect
I'd be shocked if He dropped any lower than that
QB Ashton McIntyre
Height: 6'1" Weight: 201lbs
Age: 22 College: Tulsa

I threw dropback passer out of Tulsa
good stamina injury and toughness ratings
will set the pocket and still be able to move around to avoid sack
throwing power is a little disappointing at 87
but that can be worked on in training camp

His 61 height doese bother me
but with a decent SKU you should be a good mid-round pick
QB Morris Peace

Height: 6'0" Weight: 208lbs
Age: 21 College: Purdue

Morris peace from Purdue
what can I say about this kid he short
six-foot tall that the average height of most North Americans
but for quarterback that's not good
good stamina injury and topless ratings
decent throwing power accuracy needs improvement
awareness definitely a drawback
again scrambler six-foot tall and a scrambler
can you say I knew that she could

Sixth or seventh round pick or free agent

QB Zach Mettenberger
Height: 6'5" Weight: 235lbs
Age: 23 College: LSU

 photo hi-res-eb6ee241151b52dfc6317979fb0ba708_crop_north_zps2ab0384b.jpg

A true pocket passer at 65 235 pounds
another huge monster behind center
fair stamina injury and toughness ratings all in the 80s
good arm strength at 93 accuracy needs improvement being only in the upper 70s

But as the only true pocket passer in this draft
he should go fairly quickly in the top two rounds
QB Isaac Grant
Height: 6'3" Weight: 240lbs
Age: 22 College: Temple

And finally we have the life of grant Isaac Grant
63 240 how Temple
biggest arm in the draft problem is he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn
decent stamina injury and toughness ratings

But this kid will be a sixth or seventh round pick or free agent
someone might take a flyer and pretty good decent SKU
but he won't be an early pick

We'll see you 2019 with my look at the quarterbacks coming into GZL
