Went ahead and pulled together an All-Rookie team. Love doing these as it’s fun to see where a player’s production matches with his draft position. DT Hannibal Quinn wasn’t on my radar screen when he was drafted deep in the 3rd round. But he outperformed the two DTs taken in the first round. Not too shabby for a player who only counts 1.37 million towards the cap next year.
For the most part the All-Rookie team matched up fairly well with where they were taken in the draft. Carson Wentz and Derrick Henry were high draft picks, so it’s not that surprising to see them make the team. There are however, a few surprises. Who here had Leonte Carroo leading all WRs, despite being the 6th overall wideout taken? And to think I paid such I high price to move up to get Purifoy Bolden when Shaq Lawson could have been had a few slots lower. He had a crazy good season.
Incredibly, all the rookies on this list were taken in the first 3 rounds. While it makes sense that most would be taken high, usually there’s a 5th rounder that sneaks in there somehow.
